ACHA actively promote medical and healthcare expertise exchanges between the two countries. We have built up strong connections with Australian and Chinese leading organisations in the healthcare sector, and presented at the national and international events, promoting Australia's excellence in healthcare to China.

Webinar: Hospital Responses to COVID-19 

In a great demonstration of "science has no borders" and "we are all in this together", in May 2020, ACHA facilitated Prof Qi Zhang, Vice President at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (Guangzhou, China), to share her hospital's experience in fighting the COVID19 outbreak via a webinar. It was a pleasure to partner with the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators on this webinar. The event was a huge success and well attended by Australian medical experts.



Australia China HealthTech Investment Forum


On 29 April 2020, Australia China HealthTech Investment Forum was conducted online. The event was a huge success. Ten Australian HealthTech companies presented their products to over 20 investment companies. Their presentations were both professional and interesting. ACHA is following up the collaboration with Chinese investment firms and facilitating investment or partnership for the ten companies. 


ACHA Contributed Australia Expertise in China International Forum on Elderly Health

Nov 16-17, 2019, China International Forum on Elderly Health was held in Zhuhai, Guangdong China. This is a national level forum hosted by China National Committee on Ageing and Zhuhai City Government and executed by Chinese Association of Geriatric Research.


Leadership of national level including Chen Zhu, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and domestic, and international experts attended and gave speeches at the forum. The attendees were representatives from the member organisations of China National Committee on Ageing, National Health Commission, provincial committees on Ageing and related organisations and institutes. In this forum, Mr Jason Sun and Ms Allison Lovell from Australia were invited to give talks through Australia China Health Accelerator (ACHA)’s recommendation.



ACHA presentations on 15th Australia China Symposium on Precision Medicine

It is fascinating to attend the 15th Australia China Symposium on precision medicine at Werribee Mansion, Melbourne. The Symposium is co-organised by Australian Academy of Science, Chinese Academy of Science and Australian Academy of Technology & Engineering. There were many interesting presentations and discussions. These will no doubt contribute to potential collaborations. 



ACHA and Chinese partner in Australasian College of Health Service Management's National Congress at the Gold Coast

The CEO Jason Sun organised and accompanied Dr Ye, Head of China National Institute of Hospital Administration (NIHA) and his deputy, Dr Chen, to the congress as an international keynote. Dr Ye has provided an overview of the Chinese health system, its achievements and challenges still facing. He indicated China's willingness to collaborate with Australia on healthcare workforce development, hospital management exchanges and health policy research.



ACHA as part of panel in Innovate Health 2019

Innovate Health 2019 was held in June 2019 in Melbourne. The CEO of ACHA, Mr Sun was invited to be a part of a panel to explore opportunities for Medtech commerialisation in Asia. Innovate Health is a unique platform for joining up stakeholders across the digital health value chain, showcasing exciting innovations and provoking discussion on how to promote the development and commercialization of digital health innovations in Australia. It has brought together healthcare professionals, startups & entrepreneurs, health tech specialists, innovation leaders, government stakeholders, regulators and business leaders for thought leadership, networking and productive discussion.


ACHA CEO promoting Australian healthcare capabilities

In June 2019, the CEO Mr Jason Sun was invited to the 5th International Forum on Hospital Evaluation and Quality Promotion in Qingdao, China, promoting Australian healthcare capabilities and promoting our joint programs with Australian partners including ACHS, ACHSM, RACMA and HIMAA.
