In opening ceremony, Dr Quanfu Ye, Director of NIHA, gave a warm address on behalf of the organisers. He recognised and appreciated the successful running of the first peak dialogue on hospital accreditation, safety and quality management between China and Australia. Australia has an advanced healthcare system globally and is ranked at number two on the leader board; and China as the largest developing country is eager to draw on international experience to develop its healthcare system and benefit the Chinese people. Dr Ye expressed his appreciation to ACHA for its coordination and to the Australian experts who travelled from afar to share their expertise and experience with their Chinese counterparts. Dr Ye is looking forward to further exchange and communication, as well as deepened collaborations with ACHA.
