The Success of Australia China Health Summit in Melbourne

On September 17, 2019, the Australian China Health Summit 2019 co-hosted by the Australian China Business Council (ACBC) and the Australia China Health Accelerator (ACHA), was successfully held at the Langham Hotel, Melbourne. With the focus on medical big data and artificial intelligence (AI), the Summit received strong support and active participation.

ACHA UprAsia July Trip Run Successfully

As a part of the Victorian Government supported UprAsia program, the Australia China Health Accelerator (ACHA) organised and led an Australian healthcare delegation visited China.     The delegation travelled to Guangzhou and Shenzhen in the China’s Greater Bay Area- the most open and economically dynamic region in the country.

ACHA awarded a LaunchVic grant for Founders Education Program

The Australia China Health Accelerator (ACHA) team are extremely pleased and proud to have been awarded a LaunchVic grant of $250,000 to carry out an Asia focused Startup Founders Education Program over 2019 and 2020. ACHA were one of 7 organisations awarded a total of $4.8M in the 8th LaunchVic funding round. This round has been targeted to accelerate the growth of Victoria’s health and life sciences startups.

ACHA assisted the first productive engagement by Northern Territory Health to Shenzhen

From Aug 29 to Sep 1, a delegation from Northern Territory Health (NT Health) visited Shenzhen, led by Professor Leonard Notaras, the Executive Director of Australia’s National Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre located in Darwin. Both Northern Territory and Shenzhen counterparts recognised great potential for further communication and exchange as well as constructive collaboration. Australia China Health Accelerator (ACHA) is delighted to be able to assist with this successful mission. 

The Australian Voice in China’s High-level Forum on Hospital Quality Improvement

In the late June 2018, National Institute of Hospital Administration(NIHA), which is affiliated to China Commission of Health, hosted the International Forum for Hospital Evaluation and Quality Improvement in Wuhan, China. Australia China Health Accelerator (ACHA), as the international partner of this event, brought its strategic partner the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) to the conference and spoke a load Australian voice to introduce and promote Australian health system and hospital accreditation.

With endorsement and supervision from Bureau of Medical Administration, National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China, the First China-Australia Hospital Accreditation and Medical Quality Seminar was held in Beijing on 28 April 2018, co-organised by National Institute of Hospital Administration (NIHA) in China and Australia China Health Accelerator (ACHA). 

April 26, 2018

In April 2018, ACHA organised and completed a productive visit to China, specifically focusing on hospital management.  The delegation took multiple hospital tours and face-to-face meetings with hospitals and universities on medical education in Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Beijing.
