Mr Sun was one of the original founders of ACHA. He joined the board and appointed as the Chief Executive Officer in 2018. Mr Sun has more 20 years’ experience in many healthcare environments including: pharmaceutical, hospital, community health, eHealth, health insurance, industry association and government health department.
He is the current Chair of Health and Medical Research Committee at the Australia China Business Council and was the Head of Engagement (Greater China) at Department of Health and Human Services. Mr Sun has led a number of national and state wide programs, and was responsible for Victoria’s healthcare engagements with China.
He holds a Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy, a Master of Business Administration and a Fellowship in Health Service management.
Tim Carroll is a highly experienced and respected Executive with a great deal of experience working in Australian, global and Asian Trade and innovation. He has recently held the position of State Director – Victoria, Tasmania and National Lead Health Sciences and Technologies with the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade). In this role, he was responsible for Austrade operations and facilities in Victoria and has responsibility strategic planning trade and investment in Health technology, pharmaceutical and Biotechnology for Austrade global operations. He also sat on the 3-person selection panel for applications to the Landing Pad Startup Internationalisation Programme. He is also currently highly engaged in the business innovation and startup ecosystem and Advises a number of emerging startup companies, participates in startup weekends as a mentor and manages a new incubator in Melbourne based Jiangsu-Victoria Innovation and Research Centre (JVIRC). He has often been an invited speaker to a number of events in Incubators and Research Centres on economic opportunities in globalising startups.
Dr Liying Li graduated from Sun Yat-Sen University in China with a Bachelor and Master degree in Clinical Medicine. She was a paediatrician focusing on child developmental behavior and mental health for 2 years and worked as an administrative staff member in the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Sun Yat-Sen University for 5 years. In SYSU she took the role of SYSU team manager in the Johns Hopkins-SYSU Joint Project. Dr Li is a research assistant in the Ophthalmic Epidemiology, University of Melbourne and Centre for Eye Research Australia, coordinating the Asia Pacific Research Accelerator (APRA) project. She is offering voluntary consultancy in ACHA.
With the Master Degree of Public Policy and Management at the University of Melbourne, Ms. Yue has 8 years’ experience of working with international government agencies and global NGOs in policy research and medical research program. She was awarded Australian Leadership Awards and Australian Endeavour Awards in 2011 and 2012. She completed the Management Training for Eye Care Program Managers at the Lions Aravind Institute of Community Ophthalmology in 2014 in India. Ms. Yue is the Research Program Coordinator at ACHA, supporting and coordinating various programs between Chinese and Australian partners.
Fei Long B.M, M.Sc, PhD
Dr Fei Long has a diverse background on medical and health, including Bachelor in Medicine, Master of Science in Nutrition from China and PhD in Public Health awarded from University of Queensland, Australia. He has been dedicated in the career of public health and health promotion for more than 30 years. He was appointed China senior program manager and key executive in reputative not-for-profit eye-health organisation such as ORBIS International, The Fred Hollows Foundation International and Centre for Eye Research Australia. He founded Xintu Center for Community Health Promotion in Shanghai and subsequently co-found and offered consultation to more than 20 organisations and programs in China that are committed to promote public health and empower people and patients in communities. Dr Long’s current interests are public health, capacity building, aged care and health digitalisation. Dr Long is in charge of high level engagement, strategic engagement and project monitoring in China.
Jinlong Qin B.S
China Program Manager
Mr Jinlong Qin has a management and engineer background with bachelor and master degrees. He has been working in information technology and engineer sector for more than 25 years, mostly as a team or department leader covering data analyse, big data, management system, consumer engagement and so on. From 2009 to 2020 he took a role of team leader to run a mobile big data project in Huawei Technology Ltd in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province China. His role with ACHA is to execute cooperation projects and related exchange activities technology stream in China for Australia start-ups and companies.
